While I didn’t attend Coachella this year, I did see Radiohead play in San Jose, California before they headed down to Indio for the festival. The set I saw was mind blowing. Below is their set from Coachella 2012.

Apparently we were all too busy in October to post anything to this amazing site. So im sneaking one into November so we dont look like slackers. I love finding gems on the internet, enjoy the space!

Summer’s over; time for the Twelves!

Who doesn’t like the Twelves… if you don’t know them you should get your dancing shoes on and maybe clean your house to this shit. These guys really get the guitar riff and use it like masters. Mixed with some amazing electronic keys, I can always feel what these guys are throwing down. GET DOWN ON IT.

Watch these guys get down and show you how its done!

This track is by far my favorite, the build is explosive leading to this amazing breakdown! Enjoy those little funky twists of the keys in there. Wait for it…..

BASS LINE BUMPING on this track

After listening to some of the tracks on my Booka Shade post, Night Falls in particular reminded me of The New Deal.  If you get a chance to see them live, you should make every effort to, as 2011 will be the last year as a band.  A few favorites to for your listening pleasure.

Booka Shade

I’ve known of Booka Shade for a while. I have listened to a couple of tracks here and there but never got them to stick. I even passed up seeing them at a show at the Independent a few blocks away from my place. All until I was experimenting with some Genius mixes this weekend and a few of their tracks came up. Perhaps I always passed them up for more active beats and melodies, but as I dive in I’m coming to the realization that this German duo can deliver energy and movement, just at their own, sometimes weird, pace.  Maybe weird is a bad word – let’s say unique.

A testament to their talent, they’ve even had a DJ-Kicks release.

I’m still acquainting myself with these veterans of the Frankfurt electronic scene.  I’ve read that their latest album is more aligned with club music – it’ll be interesting to unravel this progression, especially given the tracks below which come off their earlier albums.

Sometimes I feel that finding music that excites me is hard. I search and search, looking for the best of the best, something that pops. But then I hear an older track screaming out my radio getting me all excited again and im reminded “go back to that guy, hes prob got something new or old you haven’t heard” Well this post is all about my original find of Just Some Kid. Hes an amazing DJ, blending the best mix of music into a web of fantastical ear food.

This first track I found on Feelmybicep a while back and it really hit the spot.

This one is so far my fave, but feel free to get over to his soundcloud. Make sure you keep your ears open for shows with this guy spinning. It will be an amazing dance-fest.

Lets be honest working from home is awesome. What makes it better is getting to post to this site. As I explore the backlog of tracks that need to be posted here I run across a few B-I-S(Beats in Space) tracks that NEED to be up here.

Beats in Space is a weekly radio show hosted by Tim Sweeney in NYC on WNYU radio 89.1. Tuesdays from 10:30 till 1am he spins hot records and keeps the show rolling with guests from all over the land. This first track (a long one for you kids who need a lazy night away from DJing) is from some of my favorite DJs in the world. They are Irish, so i figured St Pattys day might be the best time to show off their skills. From the fabulous website “FeelMyBicep.com” comes BICEP

My second track comes from the one and FAMOUS “James Murphy”. This show was back in the early 2000s when James was relatively unknown in the big world but was awesomely famous with other DJs.
