Shows that is.  The first one started off Thursday night with Home Video. The show was quite nostalgic after listening to the band for years and only now getting the chance to see them live.  The real takeaway from the night was the opening band Kisses’ performance however.  I wouldn’t be surprised if they blow up the Indie scene with force.  The Lindstrom show is a bit hazy -- people have told me that I had a great time at the show, so I guess that’s my opinion on that.  Brought some disco into the mix with the No Way Back 1 year anniversary show at the very cool 222 Hyde.  DJ Conor was present and continues to pleasure with his modern interpretation of classic disco.  I was really teetering on a 4th tonight, but in the end finally decided to call it a weekend.  Anyway, the show that will undoubtedly be awesome, is that of Tensnake:

Disco Thoughts

Matt and I have been discussing how Disco music is making a comeback…manipulated and rebranded in the indie dance genre.  But the fundamentals are still there.  Back in August, while waiting for Woolfy (himself being described as Space Disco) to play at 222 Hyde, a great local artist DJ Conor remixed a great Disco track.  While I don’t have the version he played (not true, I have a low quality recording I made on my iPhone…probably not worthing listening to but still decent enough for me to remember the pleasurable experience), here is the original:

The saying “what goes around comes around” holds itself true in many different respects – apparently also in dance music!  And of course, the reason behind me making this discovery, Woolfy:
